FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jackson, MO – The first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station is operating in the Jackson area. Liberty Utilities completed the three-month project in December.
“We value making a difference in the communities we serve,” said Mike Beatty, Liberty Utilities Midstates president, “adding the CNG station is one way we can make sure to leave a greener footprint.”
The number of CNG stations across the U.S. is growing due to the number of benefits offered. If natural gas is readily available, CNG is a relatively easy process to obtain.
“Natural gas is domestically produced, and here in the U.S. we have a well-established and growing infrastructure,” said Ron Snider, Liberty Utilities Midstates measurement/compliance manager, “with CNG we can provide a cleaner fuel option for our vehicles.”
While the CNG fueling station is not for public use at this time, Liberty Utilities continues to pursue other opportunities with compressed natural gas.
