Save with a KOHLER Generator

Severe weather and power outages can shutter your business for days. Stay safe and stay open with a KOHLER generator.

A standby generator keeps your power on during an outage. It’s installed outside your business (like an AC unit) and comes on automatically — whether you’re on the premises or away. All within seconds of a power outage. Plus our commercial generators run on natural gas, so there’s no refueling.

How do generators work?

  • Prior to Power Failure
    • After installation, the automatic transfer switch (ATS) works 24/7 to monitor the electricity coming from the utility.
  • When Power Goes out
    • During an outage, the ATS will signal the generator to start. In seconds, the ATS transfer power from the utility to the generator.
    • Your generator supplies your home or business with electricity until utility power is restored.
  • Power Returns
    • Once utility power is restored, the ATS automatically transfers power form the generator to the utility. The generator shuts down and is on standby for the next power outage.
