Amoret Gas Outage Updates

5:50 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024

Crews worked throughout the day and were able to restore gas service late this afternoon. Liberty crews are working this evening, going door to door to turn on gas meters. We expect to restore service to the majority of customers tonight.

Please note – to restore service to your home, crews must have access to the inside of the home so that they can perform a safety check of natural gas appliances once the gas meter has been turned back on. Crew members will be in a Liberty uniform and show you their Liberty identification. If you are not home when our crews arrive to restore your gas service, they will leave a door tag with a phone number to call to schedule a crew to return.

For your safety, if you smell gas, you should leave the area immediately and call our gas emergency line at 1-855-644-8134.

Access to the area where the damage to our gas line occurred remains difficult. Our crews are working to make repairs, but this will take some time due to the wet and muddy conditions.

Additional crews have joined our local team to help with repair and restoration efforts. We do not yet have an estimated service restoration time.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Once repairs are completed and service is restored, our crews will go door to door to turn on gas meters. Our technicians will also need access to each property to re-light any natural gas appliances.

Please know our crews are working diligently to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to provide updates on this post as we have them.

Due to wet and muddy conditions, we will need to allow the area to dry out before we can bring in the equipment needed to safely make the necessary repairs to the damaged gas line causing the outage. Our team will reassess the area on Monday and, if conditions allow, complete repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience.

For your safety always, if you smell gas, you should leave the area immediately and call our gas emergency line at 1-855-644-8134. Please watch this page for updates.

The main pipeline to Amoret has been shut down to allow crews to assess the situation and begin repairs. We do not have an estimated restoration time yet.
